Networking Jesus

One day when I was on Facebook I realized how many status updates I am always reading about what people are doing. Then I thought, what if instead of seeing all these updates on what people are doing, what if we saw all updates on what Jesus is doing, and His Word?

This idea evolved into Networking Jesus in general. Social networking has become huge with the Internet. Companies and people are using social networking programs to expand the amount of people that know about their product. What if we did the same with Jesus; spreading His Word like a company spreads the word about their product? This could go in so many different directions. For example, you could do a Twitter account for Jesus, and people could follow through His Word over time, like a daily online summation of the Bible over a period of time, or posting sections and parts of the Bible as the ‘tweet’ (I personally don’t have a Twitter account so I don’t know how this works). I don’t know if anyone has done any of these things before or anything like them, but I thought this would be a great way to spread the Word of God, using the technology we love.

Overall, I have this idea, but it requires a large Christian network before you can successfully start something like this, so I am spreading the word of my idea through forums, sites, and now this blog. Hopefully we can soon switch from spreading the idea of spreading the word of God to actually doing it with this wonderfully technology we have! Here in this blog is the place where we will update you on what is new with Networking Jesus and how you can help spread the word, and where you can write us your ideas and opinions. The more people and the the more input, the more effective networking Jesus will be. With the strength of God and a large network of Christians, I believe this could be huge!
