Status Updates

The first idea everyone seemed to jump on was posting daily status updates for a month. We are trying to get as many people as we can to post a Bible verse as their status update, everyday for a month, on whatever social networking sites they are part of. Imagine logging onto Facebook and seeing the main screen full of Bible verses and God’s love. It would expose non-Christians to God and promote ‘Godly’ living instead of the ‘worldly’ living most status updates talk about. This idea is still being fully developed, but this is what we have so far:

What: A bible verse posted as your status update. It has not been decided what the guidelines are on the verses yet.

When: March or April. Exact dates not set in stone yet.

Where: On every social networking site your a part of!

How: We will create a Facebook event (possibly called 'A status update a day keeps God in your ways'), and hopefully something of this sort on other sites, to invite people to participate and get the word out.

As you can see, nothing is officially decided yet, except that it is going to happen. So any ideas you have on this subject are welcomed.

Should everyone post the same thing everyday or should they post whatever verse they want?
Should we have verses that somehow relate specifically to one another or stick to a specific book?

What should we name the event?
